What kind of domiciliary care training will my carer receive?

All of our carers undergo a rigorous recruitment and training programme and we only work with carers who are totally committed to the job. The training has been specially designed by Yorkshire care solutions ltd, who have all been carers themselves and know exactly what it means to provide the best possible hands on – and heartfelt – care.
Our training programme has been very well received and you can read some of the comments about it in our Care Quality Commission (CQC) report, the independent government body, which regularly inspects all of our managed care services.
We also encourage all our carers to develop their skills and we often review their progress with on the spot checks to see how they’re doing.

What does care in my own home include?
Our services are tailored to your individual needs. We offer a full range of personal care, including help with washing, dressing and medication, as well as domestic help, such as cleaning and light housework. Our carers can also help you with shopping and escort you to appointments. You tell us what you need and we will discuss with you how we can meet those needs.
Should I be concerned about receiving Personal Care?

There is no absolute need to worry – Yorkshire Care Solutions ltd are here to help you and improve your quality of life.
Our Carers have a wealth of experience helping all kinds of people, and they are trained to deal with any situation or scenario. Our core values are respect and discretion for one’s privacy and dignity.

How much will my service with Yorkshire Care Solutions ltd cost?

The cost depends entirely on the degree and type of service you require.
Yorkshire Care Solutions ltd offers competitive prices that also reflect the high-quality level of service you will receive. Don’t worry,
you will be given the full price breakdown before committing to any service.

Do you provide a 24-Hour care service?
Yes! Yorkshire Care Solutions ltd offers Live-In Care which is provided 24 hours a day and has a similar cost to a residential home. Why would you pay for residential care when you can get personalised, one-to-one care in the comfort of your own home?
Will I get the same Carer every time?

Yorkshire Care Solutions ltd understands the importance of pairing the right Carer to the right person’s needs. We also provide ourselves on our consistency of service – if we can provide the same Carer for familiarity every time, we will.
Our Carers do need time off and any replacement will be trained to the same high standards we set.
If a new Carer is assigned, by your request or ours, we will discuss the change and introduce the new Carer beforehand.

What should I do if I don’t need my Carer to come on a particular day?

Don’t worry, Yorkshire Care Solutions Ltd understands that people often have other arrangements in place.
Please inform us – at least 24 hours in advance – that you do not need a carer to attend on a particular day. We will arrange for the service to recommence on the following day, or whenever you advise us to.

What happens if my Carer doesn’t arrive?

This is a very rare occurrence. If Yorkshire Care Solutions ltd know that your Carer is unable to tend to you on a particular day, we will let you know as soon as possible and make arrangements for an alternative Carer to attend.
They can be caught in traffic, so if your Carer does not arrive within 10 minutes after the scheduled time, let us know.

Can I trust the Carer in my own home?
Yorkshire Care Solutions ltd does everything to ensure that the staff we employ are correctly vetted, trained and monitored. Every person who works for Yorkshire Care Solutions ltd has to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check before starting work.
